The mission of the Texas Complementary and Alternative Medical Association (TCAM) is as follows:
To preserve and enhance health freedom of choice for all Texans.
To expand the availability and quality of continuing educational opportunities for all TCAM professional members so that
they may serve their clients with the highest quality, most advanced complementary/alternative health services.
To increase the visibility of the complementary and alternative health modalities in the Texas health care system so that
they may play an increasingly helpful role in improving the health and quality of life for all Texans.
Where possible, to work cooperatively with the other segments of the Texas health care community so that each segment
may play its fully supportive role in achieving objective number three.
To continually enhance the framework of professional standards in which all TCAM professionals practice, thereby continually
increasing the credibility and acceptance of CAM modalities in the Texas health care system.
